Skill Building Projects (Plans Included)

During the beginning of my apprenticeship, I became increasingly frustrated with my slow progress as my fellow apprentices would finish their work and head off for lunch. However, my master noticed my struggle and suggested a few uncomplicated projects to help me develop my basic hand tool skills. I spent my spare time in the empty workshop working on these projects and after several weeks of hard work, I successfully completed all of them. The experience significantly improved my skills with hand tools and I was able to create a variety of items with ease.

If you are currently experiencing a similar frustration with your skills, you may find these five simple projects helpful. They will assist you in acquiring the essential skills needed for unplugged woodworking while also boosting your confidence.
